What’s the chorus of your all time favourite song?
And now I'm breathing
Breathing like I never did
And now I'm breathing
In the sky, I'll spread my wings
What fast food restaurant are you most likely to drive through? What would you order?
A&W – onion rings and root beer for sure, full meal deal add a beyond burger.
Have you ever won anything? If so, what?
As an adult? Aha I don’t think so. I won a few medals for sports in high school and one time my grandma won a cruise to Alaska and took me and my parents. Can’t forget that Pentel Art award in elementary :P
Have you changed your mind about anything recently?
I am constantly changing my mind about things. That's what growth looks like. Listening to the perspective of others, especially when they are shining light on privileges I am afforded, has regularly changed my mind about how I view and interact with the wold.
When was a time you surprised yourself?
A few years ago I started to deciding to throw myself in these situations that make me super uncomfortable on purpose. Those moments often provide the biggest opportunity for growth. I started getting social anxiety especially when it came to positions of perceived power and if ever get that kind of inkling or feeling afraid or anxious now I just have this switch I turn on like nope not happening you’ve got this you are amazing, you are strong, you deserve to here, speak your truth, be you. I mean it’s not always easy and sometimes I need to go home and just like decompress, breathe, and be like holy crap I just did that, but it has opened so many doors for me.
What question are you trying to answer most in your life right now?
A big thing for me right now is deciding how much I think I can give of myself. What balance is going to look like. I am definitely someone who gets very passionate about projects and learning to fill my own cup so I can continue is something I am working on prioritizing. COVID has already changed a lot of things and continuing to embrace change vs looking back is something I find myself grappling with.
